My truck is getting really good mileage, but I'd always like more. I was wondering if backing off on the starwheel would improve mileage. I have it set to where it really puffs smoke if you do much more than idle off from a stop.

 

It may help a little but depending on how it is adjusted it may not. Sliding the AFC housing back will help too.

 

Black smoke is unburnt fuel that isn't giving you any miles, you might as well just burn money. Turn the wheel back toward the rear for better mppgs.
