a 98 12 v with 46k miles
I have about 150K on mine, its been modified via home ground plate, etcetera, since about 90K.
Get this, I went to a family reunion this weekend for my mother-in-law's boyfriend's family. His uncle, he's 85, has a 98 12valve quad cab that looks brand spanking new. His kid ground his plate, but nothing else. I have been camping with him a couple times now. He has only 46k miles on it. And when i say it looks new, it looks brand new. I asked him about it, he keeps it in the garage and only drives it when he camps. A couple times a year. I tried to convince him to sell it, I would buy that in a second for more than blue book. He said he gets asked to sell it by lots of guys he knows and by his kid. He says he's leaving it in his will to his kids to decide what to do with it. He wont sell for nothing.

I guess I shouldn't worry about my '96 wearing out soon (even though it is not stock) since it is getting close to 130k now, huh? I've been dying to go to a full quad cab, but I just can't seem to part with my truck. It has sat outside about twice now is all.

my 98 has 65,000 and is all stock. Long bed, qc, auto. trans.,4.10 rear end.
I talked my father-in-law into buying this when he was having problems with the fuel pump on his 96 chevy diesel. Told him when he got tired of it I would buy it from him which I did about 3 yrs ago with 42,000 miles on it. He pulled a big RV with it and I pull a smaller (24') RV with it now. Had the usual problem with the oil pressure sending unit but nothing else. We both use the Amsoil synthetic oil. I keep thinking about powering it up a little but am afraid of the auto trans. I have noticed a little loss of power pulling up steep hills. I haven't dealt with the KDP issue yet either. Need to do that soon I guess. Like everyone else here, I love my truck. And yes, it purrs like a chicken.
