Re:hot rodding with used parts
I don't know the difference between the at and mt, but have a thought I will throw at you. If you know your 94 has been taken care of, I would suggest staying with your pump. You can upgrade it with delivery valves, yours have 131's and the later pumps have 181's. A 3,000 govoner spring kit and afc spring kit, advance the timing to 15. My 94 is putting over 400 hp to the ground with original pump.
Michael

1ST CUMNZ:

Welcome to the website!!

"Michael" has given you good advice on the pumps!
The pump you have with the automatic trans. is
"rated" at 160 H.P. If you were to buy a 98' (manual
tans. pump) it will be "rated" at 215 H.P. The big
difference between the pumps is primarily in the
pump cam. However, your 160 H.P. can be made
to really put out the power! Piers Harry @ "Piers
Diesel Research" (1-866-888-9396) is has a
"modification package" which will make your
truck FLY!! You can call him for details.
The "215" pumps can be expensive. I have
seen them in price ranging from $1500.00 up
to $2500.00. For alot less than that, your
"160" pump can be set-up to run very well.

--------
John_P
