help with tc lock up switch
 

okay so i did the relay wire up so the tc would free if i hit the brake, but with the switch on or off or centered it locks my truck in 2nd or 3rd and wont use the tc. i had to pull the wire going to pin 11 and disconnect it and restart my truck to get all gears back and tc. i did notice in the write up relay pins 86 and 85 are in a dif place. starting with pin 87 and going right is as follows on the relay 87,87a,85,30,86. now the write up shows 87,87a,86,30,85. has anyone had this problem?[dummy]

Unfortunately for you '96 is the only year that requires a dealer computer reflash in order for the lockup switch to work. Think it costs about $50.

reflash? what other goods would come from this? and thank u

The reflash just changes the programing for the pcm as it relates to the tranny. From what I understand the only thing you will notice different is that a lockup switch will work.
