Help with star wheel

I want a little more smoke out of my 6" mitre stacks. I found the star wheel, but it will not move past one click towards the motor. Any ideas or tricks to make this easier. My gauges and performance stuff is on the way, but I want to set the star wheel, to give me a little more smoke before the parts get here. Any ideas or tricks why it wont move past one click?

If it's not been messed with previously, you should have a good bit of range to adjust it. Leverage is key, because sometimes it just doesn't want to turn. I use a small flat blade screwdriver that started out with about a 4 inch shank. It is now bent in the middle, about 35 degrees to the side. With the cap off and the wire loom pulled back a bit it reaches into the afc nicely and makes everything turn easy. If you don't want to tear up a good screwdriver, just push harder. Try and make it so you aren't pressing in towards the center of the wheel, but across the circumference. Kind of tangent to it. Enjoy.

Lossen the 2 screws and 2 bolts, holding the AFC to pump and tap with soft blow hammer gentle towards front of engine. Lock down the bolts and screws and this should help also. As mentioned, the starwheel sometimes is frozen and will take some force to turn.

Mine would only go down one more turn. Some of them are just set naturally lower than others, stock. Don't try to force it down anymore than it will go down when gently turning with a screwdriver - you might damage the teeth on the wheel.
