help finding a thread...

My 94 3500 started searching for OD a few days ago and still hasn't found it!

It will kick into OD but only for a few seconds, it wont hold and jumps back into the next lower gear. I know I read several threads on this in the past but cant seem to find them in my searching. What is this Tranny ailment called as Id like to figure out the fix for it? Anyone know of a helpful thread on this? I know its been discussed extensively here and really dont see the need togo through it all again. Thanks in advance.

I don´t know how to post a link to a thread, but I think you´re looking for "TPS" or "brakelight switch".

Hope it helps.

Take your tps apart, clean it, put it back together. That took care of mine with 215,000 miles on it.
