help in buying

Guys and gals, I,m new here and I know somewhere this subject has got to be but I can't seem to find it, I am looking to buy and older dodge with mechanical fuel system, but am unsure what year dodge went to electronic fuel, can anyone steer me in the right direction, and also anything to watch out for when looking. Thanks in advance for your help. Al

They went to an electronic fuel system when they went to the 24v. Any 12v will be all mechanical.

Generally speaking, the '94 - '98.5 12V's with the P-7100 injection pump are preferred. That, and the second gen truck around them is much more modern and comfortable as well. However the 4-speed automatic is a sore point, it's really worth your time and effort to look for a five-speed unit. Do a search, there is lots of info out there on this topic. Good luck!
