HELP asap need PCM

Hey guys the pcm in my 97 2500 auto 4x4 took a dump to day any one know of a cheep source for a new one

I guess you're sure its the PCM...Right! I got one last year from the dealer but it was pricey:

It's Jack Millers In Kansas City but the web site does not seem to work now. Anyhow it was not cheap but I could found nothing on ebay for my truck.

It cost $500 + $100 core which I never returned because It was not my PCM but the CPS that was bad. Have you verified it's not the CPS? My is a 97 4x4 5spd. Don't know what you need. I still have the Mopar box and instructions that came with it if you are interested. Sell for $300. Maybe you can find a cheaper one.

the truck went in for a V/B at the tranny shop and while pulling it the wires to the trans shorted ,later found a jump wire someone installed in the trans relay that sent power 24/7 to the trans. all fusses are good and now i have lights on in the dash no tach no alt trans wont shift out of 1st hunted and check for 8 hrs to find zip called dodge tech .said 99% sure it (power wire ) killed pcm tommorrow i pull the one out of my 97 3500 to doubble check but unless some one has an IDEA im all ears

I had a shorted CPS that caused my MIL Gen airbag, WIF lights not to light. Also the ALt, speedo, Tach, AC not on (but blower worked). When I unplugged the CPS those first set of lights I mentioned came on in the gage cluster with key on. So by unplugging the CPS it allowed the PCM to work. The new PCM brought back the ALt, Tach speedo etc.

Sounds like you know for sure its a bad PCM due to the screw-up on the trans. Thats all the help I can be. You can check voltages at the PCM to be sure its getting there. I'll look it up again if you want.

at first light im going to look at the cps maybe ..... it got toasted, but doing the pcm swap should confirm it .but hey thanks for the input ,two heads are better then one and checking the cps cant hurt since i havent yet.
