According to his webpage the triple disc is $1295 with lifetime warranty and $1050 with 100k mile warranty plus s&h which would be like $20-$60 I'm guessing. Personally I'd spend the extra money and go through him as mentioned above.

Definitely go through Dave himself. A Goerend Bros. torque converter is not just a Goerend Bros. torque converter. He builds converters for low elevation flat landers differently than he builds converters for those who's truck will see higher elevations or hilly terrain. A very, very tight fluid coupling might be ok for the flat landers, but may be too tight to allow the engine to build boost in any reasonable length of time when you're pulling a 5th wheel in the mountains.

He built a "900x400" for me. I have no idea what that means.

Dave is a very friendly/ helpful guy, I explained what I planned on doing to my CTD and he told me my different options and what he'd suggest if something was overkill or if my setup would be sufficient. I got my GB tranny setup to handle 650rwhp. (going with twins eventually) I'd guess I'm only low 300s right now so I haven't put it to the test... but I've had no issues.

No call but he did finally email, guess he is busy building tq's! He really could do with some staff. I am not in dire straits but if I were I can see going to the compettion. Is it just me or is there no "cart" or "buy-it-now" on his website? Just making sure he wasnt running some type of showck wave or somthin. Thanks for all the replies.

Dave is a smaller shop than some of the others---so try to be patient. In fact today he added some new staff. I spoke with Les, the new guy. He is learning, but very nice. These web site's have given Dave some exposure he did not anticipate, so give him a bit of a break and he will be back up to speed with our needs!! He is IMHO the best out there.

Dave is the man!! I told him what I have and what I do with my truck as far as towing a little a drag racing a little as well. I have built a few 727 tyranny's and Dave said I should build it myself and save a few bucks. He sent me a tranny book and asked me to call him to go over certain things that need to be addressed in the trans. He gave me his Home number and his cell number as well. I talked with him for about a hour a couple different times. How many builders would go through that? So after all that he saved me a ton of money that I was able to spend on better clutches and billet shafts. The converters are awesome. Like I said earlier he knew what I use my truck for and built me a converter that will allow me to build boost at the line and still is very drivable around town. Plus lock up is very firm and it holds very well. I have around 35K on the trans now and it is just as good as when I put it together. Highly recommend his valve body too.. Enough said..
