i have a starnge problem maybe someone has seen before. about every 3 days when i leave for work i get down the road about a quarter mile and my truck dies like it ran out of fuel. then you can crank it over and it will restart but runs rough and puffs out white smoke for about a minute or two then runs fine for the rest of the day yesterday it died and i had a heck of a time starting had to pull filter fill with diesel finally got running again. anything anyone has heard of it is a 1995 12v with auto trans please help getting to be a pain

 

have you checked the fuel return line between the fuel filter and engine block? It is about 6" long and cracks to allow fuel to leak out and cause all kinds of issues.
