Fuel shutoff solenoid mounts
I have been re-invigorated by reading alot of posts here lately, especially about GSK performance.
When I replaced my H/G three years ago, I order a 3KGSK, but have been scared to tackle the job since then. Well today, I nailed it on the first try! Runs like a champ and throttle response is quite better, not that it was ever bad! At 1800 RPM, the rear end breaks loose and continues into second gear until the rest of the truck catches up! My only problem is I seem to have "lost" the mounting point for the screw on the back of the solenoid mount. This is the screw that faces forward and threads somewhere into the pump body. Is there a nut that this screw threads into, or is the pump body actually threaded to accept the screw? I thought I once found the mount, but the screw passes thru and did not thread into anything. Help the newb fix his one little problem and brighten the day that the GSK started! Thanks, Ronnie |
Mine just threads into the pump. I think there is only one hole on the back side of the pump that would be deep enough for that bolt. Bolt the solenoid bracket down at the top, then get the lower bolt. Will only be one place to put it then.

Thanks Tate,
I must have missed it then. I will look at it tomorrow when the sun comes back out. BTW, weather was beautiful today. Worked on the truck in short sleeves Ronnie |
