Fuel Lines

On my 95 3500 i see a trace of fuel weepage from the lines behind the tank. So replacement time is soon. Does anyone make a replacement line kit? Is this a dealer item only? Any ideas would be great. I figured i might as well replace all 3 lines that run behind the tank.

The only "kit" that I know of is the one from Foster Truck:

Other than that, any diesel rated hose should work well.

Over the winter I replaced both supply3/8 and return5/16 going back to the tank. Also replaced the tank module due to very bad rust. I used diesel rated hose found at the local marine supply, this stuff costs around $2.50 a foot. Do a search on the forums there is some great info on this subject. Also that hard rubber hose with the quick disconnect can be found at any auto parts store. It will come with a barbed fitting to mate to the new rubber hose. The larry B kit is only to replace the line at the fire wall, it does not have enough hose to go back to the tank.

so basicly you just cut the steel lines at a good place and install the new rubber hoses with new clamps. the diesels only have a supply and return lines right? they dont have the vapor line like the gas engines do?

If you are going to replace lines from front to rear here is what I did. For supply, if you look at the strainer/prefilter you will see the steel fuel supply line comming in the top. Follow this back towards the firewall. You will see where the old supply rubber hose is. Loosen the clamp and pop the old rubber line off.

Your return line can be found by following the steel line coming from the overflow valve on the Fuel pump back towards the fire wall. Also loosen clamp and pop the rubber line off.

Back at the tank module it is up to you how you want to terminate your new lines. I got the new quick disconnects from a parts store. These have the hard rubber/plastic and came with barbed fittings.

Did you confirm where your weepage is exactly coming from? I had to replace my tank module due to lines being rotted coming out of the module. Also please go back and search posts in about the Jan 05 timeframe. There are at least three posts dealing with this issue and better explanation than mine above.

thanks for the replies. my lines are weeping at a point where all the lined are clamped togeather at the frame behind the tank. the lines are clustered togeather with a circular clamp that bolts to the frame. my tank module looks decent.
