Feedback on Goerend Transmissions

I'm needing a new tranny, and would like to solicit feedback on Goerend Bros. Transmissions.

If you personally own a GB trans or know someone that does, please reply to me in a PM, and let me know what you think..

Thanks in advance!
Shane

Re: Feedback on Goerend Transmissions

Shane,
I would not hesitate to reccommend Dave Goerend to my Mom if she needed a transmission. The man produces a great product is very professional and couldn't be easier to deal with. I ordered a full up triple lock, had it shipped to a friend's shop and he even took care of the return shipping for the core to save me some money. Everything was on time, he kept me informed of my xmission's build process and shipping date and even answered his cell phone on a Saturday to answer our questions when we were doing the install. great guy, great product quite a breath of fresh air in this day and age of take it or leave it customer service everywhere else.
Hope this helps...not a paid endorsment
Drop me an email if you have qustions
Bob

Wish I had gotten mine sooner. GREAT product. Had it installed in their shop. Dave and his crew are great. I'm a very happy customer. Have any specific questions? Send me a PM.

Ditto, the best. It is like getting a brand new truck. Get the 3D TC. You'll be glad you did.

I had Dave replace the TC with a 3 Disc TC, cooling lines to the radiator, replace the rear main seal, replace the "face plate?" (I think that's what they called it, between the TC & the engine block?) installed a rebuilt tranny, 100% installed, all fluids, road test with Dave himself, and a night's stay at the Hotel Goerend (worth the trip right there, lol) for $3,800.

100K mile warranty on the tranny, lifetime on the TC.

I was in at 8:00 am and out by 2:00 pm. Great bunch of guys.

Goerend's reputation is even stronger since this thread started 18 months ago. Great products and very fair pricing.

I have a Goerend 3D TC and Valve body, had it for a year and a half now, have about 10K miles on it towing pretty heavy. I like it. You will find the heavy low stall TC has a flywheel effect on start, but, it makes towing better and smoother. Probably would make launching for drag racing kind of slow or difficult. That is not my intention though. For what I wanted, it is great. Guaranteed for about 14-15K lbs and if I have any problem, he will credit the amount that I spent with him on a new tranny. I installed the TC and valve body myself, and Dave called a couple of times to check on me. He is a really good guy to bussiness with.

all of what has been said above.... with him being over 4 states away from me i would not feel hesitant about refering my Grandma to get one from him..... straight up honest guy..... i wish tranny shops around here were more like him.... maybe they would stay in business longer..... his warranty is above and beyond anyone else on the market IIRC.... just rember if you're gonna do it.... Do it right, Do it once, and Do it with a Goerend Tranny/Converter....

Feel like I gotta chime in too. I have one of Dave's 3D TC, valve body and billet input/int shafts. He did the install and some extra work on some shot internals. I've had a half dozen truck pulls with about 500 HP and drive the truck every day. Not a hint of slipping or problems. Dave is a great guy to deal with and will never over-sell you. I had to talk him into the billets only because I wasn't sure if I would truck pull with it or not. Glad I got'em. I don't think you can go wrong with his product or his service. Call him, don't e-mail and tell him what you got and what you want.
