Fan bearings

Anyone had their fan bearings give out? I considered replacing mine while I did the KDP and replaced the tensioner bearing and the water pump.

It doesn't seem very common. Worked on these trucks for many years, and I think I've seen two that needed replacement. I don't even remember why; whether they were noisy, or had play.

Mine have no play and are smooth except when I first start to turn them I feel a bit of resistance
