Engine seems to be running ok now....

I played with my Idle screw, as a member mentioned for me to do, now it runs good, I noticed that it has quite a bit more power once its been running for 20 mins or so... My question now is, whats the top end supposed to be on this truck? At 100 kph, 60 mph, it seems to run out of steem. Still exelerates, just not very well. Will go to 75 MPH or so, but thats about it. Its a stock 94, reg cab long box, auto. I know it aint no race truck, but is it just a tired engine? Or was that normal.

After 20 mins, the engine is finally beginning to warm up. When it's cold it will be sluggish. The power curve on a diesel peaks at 1600 rpms and declines from there. I've haven't driven a stock truck for that long, so I forgot... I'm pretty sure it should do at least 80 mph without a sweat though. Your timing could have slipped.

What engine rpm do you see at 100 kph?

no he means the 3k gov kit.The reason your truck is a pig is because it is defueling I would bet.Do a search on 3k gsk and a fuel plate. That will allow the truck to move alot better, especially above 80km an hr.You'll actually have power on the hills

I would check the timing and get some gauges for boost and fuel pressure so you know how your engine is running. I'm sure a stock truck can do more than 75 mph without a problem.
