Eaton 9 speed behind 12V
Ok, gang, I've got a new project with even more hairbrained ideas. One of which is obviously as the title states, Can an Eaton/Fuller 9 speed (technically 10 with crawl speed) be mated behind a 1st gen 12V?
I'm almost certain I've seen someone stuff a 13 speed in a 2nd gen truck, don't remember if it was a 12 or 24, so I'm guessing it's doable. And BTW the engine trans combo will not be going in a dodge truck.
Just wondering if anyone here has done anything of the sort (apparently not according to search) or knew what it would take to get it done, IE clutch input shaft, any adapters needed?
Thanks for the help!

Have not done.
But you will need SAE2 flywheel and flywheel housing for the 6BT... and an appropriate starter. These usually come in a medium-duty truck (Ford, Freightliner, etc) with a 5/6/7 speed manual trans.

I have a 8LL in my f800....they are huge. Be prepared for some floor modification. And i hope you have the cab off for install so you can use a forklift.
Good luck 👍
