early defueling?
Ever since I re-ground my stock plate to a #10 profile, my truck seems to defuel @ 2500, when it used to defuel around 2750. Is there a way to slightly adjust the governor? I think I read a post a year or so back where someone said you can sometimes get away with tightening the nut that holds the governor springs 1 or 2 clicks, but more than that will mess up the way it idles. Is this true? I want to put in a 3K GSK, but funds are short, since I'm unemployed after recovering from a back injury.
I'm also wondering if the defueling I'm noticing is just due to the profile of my fuel plate. I plan on rigrinding it to a #100 profile in the next couple days.
I just wanted to get some input on the governor problem before I go into the pump, so I can get it all taken care of at once.

Have you made sure the gov arm is adjusted correctly?
