Differential and Auto Tranny Fluid

Time to change my fluids. After some searching I concluded that synthetic 75w-90 is good for the differentials. If you're towing, then you should get 75w-140 which is more expensive.

As far as the automatic transmission; ATF+4 is the best to use. So far only the dealer and Valvoline sell ATF+4. Which one is better? Price?

Should I just run straight ATF+4? Or should I make a special "blend?"

I forgot what oil to run in the T-case...

Is there any other recommended additives to any of these listed above? I don't tow.

The T case

uses the regular ATF fluid. make sure that you add the LSD additive to ur rear differential when you go ahead and change out the fluids. I run Valvoline 75w-90 in my front and rear diffs, and have had no issues yet.

Save your money, Dexron III AFT plus two bottles of Lube-Gard Black = ATF +4 on a full 17 qt change.
This is what most of the major diesel tranny rebuilders recommend.

Be careful adding LSD additive, if you add too much your LSD won't work. With many of the synthetic fluids no additive is needed. Best bet is too drive your truck, if the rear tires grab on turns add a quarter bottle of additive at a time till the grabbing stops. Doing figure 8s in an empty parking lot is the best way to do this.
Don't overfill your differentials or they are prone to leak, which can ruin your brakes. Factory spec is 3/4" below the bottom of the fill hole in the front and 1/2" below in the rear.

It only looks like gear lube if it hasn't been changed in 150K

I heard Wal Mart carries ATF +4 now for the same price as ATF +3. Would that be good to run? I'm not sure if it's Supertech... But would brand make a difference for ATF?
