Delphi lift pump kit

Factory lift pump has been on its last leg for quite some time now, and I've been saving for a new one. I've looked into the hungry diesels HVLP kit and a few other vendors. Recently I found a kit on dkdiesels site that uses a delphi HFP702 pump. Is anyone running this pump on their first gen? Will it require an external regulator or is it similar to the hungry diesels kit? Not building crazy power, just looking for something that will give me more room to work with so to speak. Plus eliminating the chance of a ruptured diapham on a oem pump dumping fuel into my oil.
Thanks for your help.

Bosch VE Lift Pump Kit 90-93 Dodge Cummins 5.9L
Do what you want, but read this thread thru completely before you trust any aftermarket supplier....... If I were going to do this I would purchase a genuine Cummins part number pump or from a vendor that had been down this road, like our member Nascar Mark.

Your VE front seal may thank you.

I appreciate the concern, but I overhauled the ve when I did my 366 gsk and fuel pin. All of the seals are good and the front main is loc tighted.

Did you read the post? That aftermarket piston pump was advertised as low pressure but was not............. Just a reminder.
