deep theory and questions about 2wd suspension

So to make a long story short...a few years ago wrecked my truck and bent the frame. I got it fixed and the suspension all fixed after. It does look good besides the slight wave in the frame where it was bent. A friend of mine did the suspension repairs and after a few months I had problems with things.coming loose like my power steering box idler arm and right control arm.

That being said I've always been weary of my frame. I don't know why but I have. So since my truck is now parked, here are some ideas I've come up with to hopefully get her rolling smooth again.

1)- on craigslist I came across a frame from a 2001 3500 cab and chassis. It was a flat bed with the solid front 2wd axle. The guy wants $500 for frame axle and front ssuspension. I was considering the idea of swapping my truck over but instant whoahs were
--will my Alcoa classics fit that, front axle without the dually adapters? Are the rotors and calipers bigger ?
And just the over all aspect of that being a very large and involved job

2 I found a guy really close to my house with the front half of a 2001 2wd 2500 with my trucks style control arm suspension. It does look a little different as far as the control arm appearances but the mounting structure of the frame area looks to be close to the same.
- I'm wondering if I could potentially buy this frame section and use the parts to replace the parts of mine that are worn out OR Gut my front and and use all of the 01 parts. Would they work on my 97 frame?

And the last overall question for the sake of asking. What would you guys do?
