On my work this morning my speedo quit. My truck has the sensor on the rearend, and not the transfer case. Could the sensor in the rearend be jacked up?

 

I pulled the sensor out of the rearend this weekend and checked the gear on the ring gear. Everything looked good, i think. There was alot of clutch fiber on the magnet. Other than that did'nt find anything wrong. Anyone got an idea on what's wrong? Thanks

 

I have this same problem, and some others to go along with it. Seems that the speedo quits working and then will start working again. Sounds like a bad ground somewhere, but so far I haven't been able to find anything(possibly behind the dash). I have heard of this before but can't remember what the fix was. Also comes with ABS and park brake light on, and radio stays on all the time. Batteries drain over night... more to say but i'll stop here before my head pops off.
