Correct me if im wrong, but the core charge is deducted from the listed price and refunded when you return the old one right?! So if i get some thing for 100 with a 50 core charge im really only paying 50 when it's all said and done right?

The core is added to the listed price. If you buy something for $100 and there is a $50 core. You pay $150 and when you bring the core back in you get the $50 back.
