Code 23, 33, 42

Here's the deal. I have a 1995 PCM and tranny installed behind a 4bt. I can't get lockup or OD to work. I had a TPS error but adjusted my Potentiometer to proper range. I had a VSS code- got a new one and it went away. I have proper tach signal and I have the brake ground installed. I hooked up and OTC scanner and got the above codes. I can directly ground the OD and LU and get it to work perfectly. I want it to function automatically. CODE 23 might be an issue for me. I'm not sure if the Air Charge Temp (IAT) will cause the OD and LU to not function. I suppose it could be a safety feature but I've not read anything on it. BTW, I do have the trans temp sensor "tricked" with a 1K ohm resistor so it shouldn't be preventing lockup. The same is true for the ASD relay. I wouldn't suspect that either. What do ya'll think?

Any Help is much appreciated.

If the ASD is not engaged, the PCM doesn't know the truck is running, and can't engage OD or LU, along with other things such as cruise and AC. I figure you probably don't have them though.

Figure out your ASD circuit.

You're right. I don't have any of the ASD "Stuff". I'll have to figure out what it is and see if i can locate it. Thanks.

Sorry, you are past my knowledge of the 95 stuff and I don't have a FSM for one.

I do have to back up a bit, looking at my 97 FSM the transmission relay controls the juice to the trans, and since you can manually ground the functions, that must not be it. Did you hard wire in the 12V at the plug or is it coming in tru the Transmission control relay?

Perhaps Infidel can chime in here, he has forgotten more about 95's than I will ever know.
