"Chirp" upon letting clutch out
Mines a 1995 3500 and recently I hear a chirp, (like a tire hop) when I start going. This occurs under normal "take off" without reving and such. Dry ground. I do not think its the tires but thats the only way I can describe it. Any ideas GREATLY appreciated.

Michael
Re:"Chirp" upon letting clutch out
I assume it is not a full time squeal when the clutch is depressed, so is likely not the throwout bearing.

Check the condition of your pilot bearing on the front of the transmission jackshaft where it plugs into the flywheel. They will get dry and worn, then bind a bit when the transmission is first loaded on take off. The binding only lasts a few seconds, and sometimes can make a chirping sound.
