Boost guage

Just bought a EGT and boost guage. EGT hook-up was no problme but I'm not sure where to tap the boost guagge into. Is there a place on the manifold??

I drilled and tapped right into the back side of the intake connector tube, there's a nice big flat spot. Used an 1/8" pipe tap.

If I remeber correctly, there is also an extra plug in the side of the head. Look for where your boost signal line to the AFC is. It's a small elbow with a thin plastic tube that goes from the side of the head (between the pump and the head) to the back of the AFC housing. There should be another plug of the same size a little further toward the front of the motor.

For me, it was easier to drill and tap the connector tube.

Thanks John!! I saw that plug but just wasn't sure if it would work there. What type of Boost measurement should I expect? I have a #6 Plate in the booster with a 4" exhaust, standard Turbo.

Odd that you have to tap the manifold for another fitting, I though 12V's had tow of them already.

Another thought is to use a 24V boost fitting from Piers, they replace one of the intake bolts on the inside of the manifold, they have a 1/8th pipe thread top and a bolt on the bottom with a hole through it so you can hook up a gauge or get a boost signal to activate something, I've got 2 on my truck and one in the tool box so I can hook up a boost gauge on anyone's truck to test.
