Problem sounds exactly like a starwheel turned the wrong direction.

Glad to hear that you got it going.

I am a newb to Cummins as well and I think a little explination of the star wheel may be needed here.

To increase boost, power and smoke, you turn the wheel in the direction of the engine. That will move the star wheel tward the front of the truck as you turn it. If you turn the star wheel to the drivers side fender, it will take away boost and power and smoke. This will move the star wheel tward the fire wall s you turn it.

Sorry guys, it was getting a little fuzzy.

I'm having a boost problem myself, sounds alot like yours (no boost)
