Angry Best way to test for boost leaks?

I am trying to hunt down a possible boost leak, as I am seeing lower milage and EGT around 700-750 cruising at 60MPH. I made this little contraption, but it goes in the air hose from the air box to the turbo, and I just don't like the way that hose expands when I put just a little bit of pressure in it. Where is the best spot to put a plug?

Also, on a side note, how much will sliding the AFC housing affect EGTs and milage?

I usually just build one that fits on the inlet of the turbo and get a regulator , pump in 25 pounds of air in there , you will have some leakage going thru a open intake valve , get a soap and water spray bottle and spray around all your joints or anywhere you hear a leak , you might make a strap for that inlet so it doesnt pop out and hurt you.

I use a rubber drain pipe coupling, the kind with a hose clamp on each end, connected straight to the turbo, cap with an air port on the other end.
