Does anyone know what torque to tighten the axle flange bolts on a rear Dana 70?

 

My manual left the torque value out for those bolts. They don't have the taper or lock washers. I tightened them to about 110 ft lbs. I hope that's going to stay in place. I may even take them out and use some lock tight.

 

Hayne's says 90 lbs. on those. Pretty high, considering they are just 3/8".

 

Just tighten them till they strip out, then back off a 1/4 turn. Thats where u should have stopped
