Welcome aboard Red, glad to see another Nutmegger on the site. I'll be in the market for a tranny soon and I'm monitoring your results LOL. The guys on the site are great, I've learned alot and have alot to learn

Nice to be on-board. I'll be going to Wilton, Ct this weekend (if it can be arranged) to pick up my Kore suspension system, and maybe a ScottyII. I ordered my PSC steering box and DSS a couple weeks ago, so hopefully they'll be shipping in the next few days. I'll stash the suspension and steering stuff aside until I get my Rickson RTA's and new tires. Then I'll have big fun one weekend giving Thurston a whole new ride quality. Then it's tranny time! I can't wait!

Drive the truck I built for my dad, auto, custom guts a good converter and a lockup switch--No problems at 25K GVW.

Go with Goerend, the service is excellent.
My transmission was slipping under load, got a new converter, valve body and new clutches from Dave, cost me $ 1350 (single disk converter) and after over 75,000 miles I have no problem with it at all.
PLUS, 1 month ago I was towing a car from IL to MN and I stopped by his shop to meet him in person, he took my truck (with trailer and the BMW on it) and test it around. He spent almost 1 hour checking things, adding fluid, etc.

When done I was happy as I could be and asked how much....he said nothing, I couldn't make him take my money....AND HE SPENT 1 HOUR OF HIS TIME for me.

Transmission runs as strong as first day I built it.
Listen to many, get a Goerend......you won't be unhappy AT ALL
