Auto to manual Swap

I know someone on here has performed this swap on a 95 with a 47rh but has anyone done a 47re and what all is involved. Is it just a tranny and a pcm or do you have to change out the wireing harness. Can it even be done?

From what I remember when I did my research for my auto to manual swap, the wiring was the same for the rh and re as far as the swap goes. You just wire the back up light wires to the 5spd plug on the trans, and the nuetral safety wire from the auto to the clutch master switch and ur done. And that retains cruise control to. And just leave the other auto wiring in place in case u want to swap back to a auto later.

So you dont have the reprogram the pcm either. Sweet. Now what clutch would I need to hold around 600 hp.

What about the speedo my truck does not have RWAL so my speed sensor in the tranny controls the speed odomter not the one on the diff I know this because the diff sensor is broke off right under the oring. Will the manual trany have a different ratio out the tail shaft than the auto?

What about the transfer case will the one fromthe auto bolt up to the manual?

So... Many... Questions...! (Well I guess thats a good thing :) )

I'm just going to tell you what I remember from Box5 telling me about his swap:

I remember he had to change something on the transfer case... I think he had to go to a larger/smaller shaft. I don't think it took long for him to swap that out though...

But I could be completely wrong, thats just what I remember :).

ebay type nv 4500 and it should show a few and if that dont show much type nv4500 with no space inbetween you just have to type a few different ways it just depends how the seller typed it

NV4500 trans output shaft is larger than 47R output shaft, so xfer case input gear is larger than the 47R gear - easy swapout.

Pull the kick-panel under the steering column, check the brake-pedal bracket for a large blank hole against the firewall - that's where the clutch master clinder fits - if not there, you'll need the entire bracket from the manual trans truck, along with the pedals.
