Antifreeze Swop

I AM PUTTING IN A NEW RADIATER AND THERMOSTATE IN MY 96 CUMMINS AND I BOUGHT ROTELLAS ELC 50/50 ANTIFREEZE AND WHEN I OPENED IT THE COOLANT WAS RED. IS THIS STUFF ALRIGHT TO USE IN MY TRUCK? IT SAYS THAT IT IS DIESEL READY.

Where did you get it? I put it in my truck about 3 years ago and now that I need to replace my radiator I want to go back to ELC but I can't find it.

It is OK to run in our trucks - our trucks do not need the additives that most of the big rigs do. Yep - it is red - and I chased what I thought was a cracked auto trans cooler fitting/casing until I realized what I had was a small heater hose leak that was dripping down onto the trans cooler

Red, green, orange - it all works in our trucks. Regular maintenance is the key to cooling system longevity.

Fleet Guard Makes a 50/50 mix Then you add the elc mix to it. Good stuff!

Gotta make sure you don't mix the different types or you will be buying a new radiator. My Dad learn that lesson a few years ago, trying to extend the life of the coolant in their Neon. Took me all day to get the goooooey mess out of the engine and like I said the rad went in the trash.

Fleetguard makes a coolant called ES Optimax. It's red in color also.

http://www.fleetguard.com/fleet/pdfs...es/LT32530.pdf

I paid $9.20 per gal.
