Another Brake Question

I did a search with no luck. I just put new shoes, drums and 1 ton wheel cylinders on my truck and now when I press the pedal it goes about 3/4 way down before they get firm and grab. On the second pump it is stiff and not really grabbing much. Occasionally the idiot lights come on. Any suggestions?

Adjust the shoes until they barely drag and perhaps bleed some more.

I was letting the adjusters do the adjusting. That was the problem. They don't work. I manually adjusted them. My truck stops like never before. Those 1 ton wheel cylinders are great. I should have done this years ago.
