Adding two stroke oil to Dino

Ok guy's there is a thread going on another forum about doing this I would like to here the pro's and con's from the experts here since this is my first winter and it was six degrees this mourning at my house I'm wondering what to use for cold weather additives???

These are oil runing engines. I have added 2 stroke oil to mine and it ran better and sounded quieter. I think Stanadyne is about the best additive to use though. It's pretty cheap around here. Its like $6 a bottle.

The title "Adding two stroke oil to Dino" makes you are thinking crankcase oil.
That answer is a firm NO.
If you're thinking winter lube oil look at synthetics. I run 5W-40 year around. Really helps with cold weather starts.

I refuse to be labeled as an expert, but if you're talkin' fuel additives -

cetane booster of some brand for #1 winter fuel

anti-gell if ur in zero\sub-zero temps

two-stroke motor oil for ur Inj Pump plungers

Be a good idea to fill out ur sig with ur truck specifics - year, engine, transmission, chassis config, GVWR, axles-driven, # wheels on the tarmac, etc, etc

I'm refering to diesel additives sorry about the signiiture wasn't sure how to add it but I am now......

I already had a gell this winter.
I supposedly had winter diesel good for -20°F, but it was only -5° F the other night. The bio in all Minnesota fuel is going to make it a tough winter.

I was looking at your signature and noticed vegi in a tank. I don't know of any method to keep vegi oil flowing except by heat.

As far as fuel additive, I prefer Gold Eagle products. They go under Diesel Power brand labeling and also from John Deere.

Thanks Fueling,I was refering to the Diesel side In the winter I will mix a bit of Dino in the Vegi tank just to keep things moving.
