99 transfer case in a 96 3500, part two.
As the title suggests I have a 99 transfer case in my 96 truck. I played around with the older shifter and I was able to get the reversed shift pattern to work. BUT, I also got hold of the transmission and transfer case shifters from a 99 truck. I kind of like the later setup due to it being mounted to the floor instead of the transmission. One less thing to deal with if they need to come out. The other thing is the much smaller holes in the floor!! Hence, more area to put sound deadener. I have no problem with reworking the floor to match the newer shifters and boots. What I do need is pics or measurements to tell me the right position for the transfer case shifter. Can anyone send me pics of measurements from a known point that I can use? Side to side will be set by the shifter mount, I need front to back.
