'97 Club cab pass. seat travel hanging up.......

1997 2500 4WD club cab passenger seat: mine has a real sticky spot in the fore and aft travel. I've lubed what I could see. Apparently there are 4 steel rollers in that track and I see no way to lube that area. Tomorrow I might try some spray lube down the track. If that doesn't do it, I guess I'll have to pull the seat out of the track. Maybe have to remove the seat entirely from the truck to get to things. It is the main access to the rear seating area and if we ever have to use it I suspect my wife will want that pass. seat to move freely.

Any tricks to these seats?

Thanks,
Dennis

Mine was the same way, white spray grease down the tracks did the trick nicely.

Hope yours is as easy, when they slide it makes life much easier!

The release cable can also stretch a tad and not fully let go of the track.. I had to just bend the cable pull tab a touch to compensate for it.

Mine required the same. I used some of my chain lube for my wheeler, and sprayed it down the track, using the little 'straw' to concentrate it in one spot. The reason I used it is that it is somewhat tacky and doesn't run all over. After a series of movements, it quit hanging up, and moves freely. It worked for me, maybe it will others....
