Fuel Boss Mechanical lift pump

The website states it's for 98.5 and up trucks, but I was wondering if it would work on my 1995?

I put one on a 2001 Ram 3500, and it worked great.

I am sure it can be made to work on a mechanical engine but I don't know why you would want to? Your mechanical pump driven off the camshaft is just as reliable and less maintenance as it doesn't need a belt and a pressure switch to function.
