Daily driver, 220 miles per day, stopped for diesel, got back on highway, and went to 2200 rpm at 45mph. the tranny simply will not shift. normally runs 2000 rpm at 65mph.

atf fluid was low, truck has had sllloooooowwww leak since i bought it 30k miles ago. dumped in 3 qts... still didnt help.

i am in central/north florida. anybody know anything about a local shop? and what EXACTLY is causing the problem would be appreciated. i will be checking back soon.

truck has 245k miles on it now. 4x4 auto 12 valve no mods just oil changes!

its not shifting into od, could be just clutch shaveings stuck in the electronics. pull the pan, change the trans filter and adjust the bands (its easy) fill it back up with 4 quarts and give it a try, Iv seen a few people score $1,000 dodges due to people thinking the tranny was dead and it only needed band adjustments

stuck in 3rd gear, getting a jasper transmission

So, I took the truck to the shop, they ran the scanner and the shift solenoid, and the governor solenoid apparently need replacement. They told me it was stuck in 3rd gear. Also has leaks on the seals from the transmission tail to the transfer case.

So after considering $1000.oo bucks to fix these individual parts and not have a warranty, I opted for a drop in reman from jasper. ANYBODY have any info on replacing this trransmission with a reman jasper?

Sure wish you lived closer... I'd take your thousand bucks for a half day of replacing those solenoids and rear seal any day of the week! I'd supply the parts and even throw in the band adjustment for free!

Ive not seen anything impressive come out of jasper. engines or transmissions. you will most likey be using the warranty they give you with it which means more down time. i have the thing built if i were in your shoes. Jasper means Bad Jujus to this guy
