Just make sure if you use a lighted switch or indicator light that the switch has two sets of poles, STDP.
If you don't juice flows though the bulb filament and will mess up the lockup function.

I really want to be able to lock 2nd for windy steep mountain roads as I haul a 18,000 lb Hatachi EX60 up 18% grades to dig watering holes for wild game. My old duramax was able to shift locked but I here we don't want to let the 47 series makes its shifts while keeping the converter locked?

Also for 2nd gear lockup (manually selected 2nd gear) you need to pull apart the VB and block up a passage in there... google it, it works. I never had any catastrophic damage directly from shifting while locked up, but I wouldn't say it makes anything last any longer either.
edit: Here ya go adjustable hobbs switch, not sure on the range but can get with n/o or n/c contacts here.
