I just put a new clutch in the truck and noticed when i was done that the 4x4 light comes on when in 2H. Any sugestions? i thought i put something together wrong but everything looks right.

I could be a pinched or bare wire. The wires run under the ac compresssor from engine to radator support.

engine running......Black vac line at front actuator should have vac with 4x engaged. Red line should have vac in 2wd. Good place to start

I would second the bare wire. Is the light on all the time, or only in 2wd? If all the time or intermittent I would say bare wire is grounding the switch on the Cad out. If only in 2wd (goes off in 4wd) then it would suggest your vacuum connections are reversed.

Siding with J_BODY on this one, check those vacuum lines that go to the CAD unit, it could be as simple as you forgot to hook them back up or one is pinched.

Disconnect (unplug) the wire from the switch on the CAD on the axle. The light should be off. If not there is a wiring problem. (If its the same as a '95)
