4x4 Front bearing and hub question

Is it hard to separate what I would guess it's called the wheel spacer, extender, adapter? I took the 8 nuts off the studs from the bearing/ hub itself, and I gave up trying to get it off after a few hits with a dead blow. I didn't want to damage anything. It's the part that allows the dually wheels to be mounted, the 3/4 ton trucks don't have them. Are they pressed in or something? Or is mine just gonna be stubborn like everything else! Gahh!

I just did my u-joints and I think when I pulled the hub and bearings out, they got damaged. I'm getting a rough feel and drive from the front wheels, and the best I can describe it is a bad bearing feel and sound. It's most noticeable in low speed conditions. It's not real bad, they're not getting hot, even right off the highway they are still pretty cool. In fact you don't even notice it after 50mph. I lifted each wheel up and they move freely and don't make any noise. Kinda lost, hope I'm not making a mistake.

That just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside... especially since this truck came from Colorado.
