You know what I'm saying the truck does speed up but the tax does not go up and then come back down and catch itself or anything it's locked
|
OK, I just asked because many times folks mix up lockup and OD.
Next step IMO would be to check the wiring and measure the resistance of the solenoid. You should get a factory service manual for your year and a digital multimeter. (CD FSM + DMM < 60US$) |
Okay I'm understanding you but I have tested the truck and it the voltage does dropped to less than a volt and I have had new solenoids installed. One question I have had if the computer drops the voltage is it already processing that the temperature warm enough and other things that might be the problem. I mean am I passed those if the computer is dropping the voltage is the temperature and whatever else already being figured in and it is dropping the voltage because those are all a go. I hope I'm not being confusing.

After the lake I put transmission fluid in it and it came back to normal then it leaked again I didn't I just got in the truck I didn't realize that it had just sprung a leak between the two lines from rubbing against each other forever. Then the overdrive was gone and I messed with it I checked it I can old test at a bunch of stuff and everything and one time out on the interstate it did kick in. And then another time maybe I don't know what three or four days later it kicked in again and then there was another time or two but it hasn't for a very long time now. And when I totally flush the fluid and everything till it ran clear I was just thinking there was some material in there and maybe something is clogged that's what was my original thing on this post. I mean I don't know exactly what does Shift the Overdrive
you know how does it shift? |
I read on here about testing the pressure but I haven't gotten that far. Tom
|
Now you will need a pressure gauge.
Simply put: Either your OD unit does not get hydraulic pressure to go into OD or it gets pressure and does not work. |
what kind of gauge will I need and where is the port what fitting and all that do you know and then what pressures am I looking for at what speed. or where can I I find that info thank you very much ahead of time. Tom

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.die...f696d35135.png This is for the 47RE, on a 95 I'd expect a 47RH though. Nevertheless you'll need a 300 psi gauge with a hose long enough to observe it while driving. I'd suggest again that you get a factory service manual for your year. For example at genosgarage.com there is a CD or DVD version for less than 50 US$. Takes out a lot of guesswork. |
