i picked up a 96 cummins that was hit in the front end. i was thinking about putting the whole motor in my 92, but see no whay possible to fit the bigger intercooler[plus the timing cover got pushed around]. so i was thinking about parting the motor out. what price range do the 215 pumps bring and what else can i sell off it to get my money back? i think i will just take the easy way out on my 92 and get some injectors and save up for a tranny. mike

 

Unless you or someone else put the 215 in there .... 96's did not come with them.

If the truck has an auto trans, it's the 180hp<br>If the truck has a standard trans it's the 215hp.

 

96 had 215 Engines on the manual trucks!!<br><br>Adam

 

Unless the truck was a California emissions truck which were cut back to the same numbers as the auto. The manual trans also had a little more torque, but not much. I think it was about 25ft/lbs.
