Cool 1996 12 valve clutch issues

ok guys i got a 96 12 valve with 120 thousand miles and just a couple weeks ago i had 5 gear go out in my transmission and i took it to the shop and they fixed it. Now i think my clutch is slipping or at least that is what it feels like. it seems like it does it in every gear so thats why i think its the clutch but could it be something in the transmission? If not im wondering what kind of clutch to put in the truck (brand, type, etc).

I second the south bend clutch, buy the best one you can now, that way your covered for future upgrades.

X3, having a bit too much clutch isn't a bad thing.

Is it a 4Wd or 2Wd? What are your future plans and what will you use the truck for?

Did that puppy feel like it was slipping before you had the 5th gear nut fixed? If not, you likely don't need a clutch. Could just be in need of a simple adjustment..... How much peddle free-play do you have?

Purchasing the RIGHT clutch depends on several variables...what kind of fueling mods do you have if any? are you planning any future fueling mods? and how do you use the truck specifically...tow heavy?...occasionally?....etc

Gimme a shout at the Performance Shop tomorrow 9 to 5 Eastern and I will be happy to discuss the options you have and try to help you get the right clutch at the right price for you

Nothing I hate more than to see a guy spend good money only to end up with the wrong clutch for his actual needs.

I had a SB con O in my 97. Towed a lot. Had mild upgrades to truck. No problems. Thinknit was 750$ for clutch and new flywheel.
