12v Vac pump oil leak/missing bolt??
Hey everyone I finally got my first cummins, not new to diesels, but its a new to me truck so I'm trying to go through all of it and get all the odds and ends taken care of. For the most part its a good truck, 275k 5 speed 4wd, but does seem like it was semi neglected. I've done the KDP and all associated service with that, but I still have a pretty serious oil leak around the vac pump. There's oil everywhere, I bought a reseal kit and will likely reseal it regardless, but I noticed there's a bolt or stud missing where the vac pump connects to the PS! or so I think. Could this be puking oil also? anyone have any clue what I need to replace? Thanks in advance! this photo was taken after I pressure washed it, you can see a small drop of oil on the vac pump, but it had oil all over it before.

Yuck, definitely looks like a stud and nut, and possibly a spacer are missing, hopefully that didn't cause the vacuum pump to crack. Have a good look at it when it's disassembled. Anyway, that drop of oil looks like it's coming from between the case halves of the vacuum pump, which is sealed by an o-ring. I think you can buy reseal kits now which include the seal, as well as the o-rings you need to do the full job.

Thanks torquefan, I've been trying to find a stud, spacer, nut etc..not terribly straight forward...but I'm hopeful I'll find them. I'll take a close look when I take it all apart...
