I just got my 96 3500 back on the road, i installed a ispro fuel psi gauge with a needle valve at the pump, i installed 2 loops in the fuel line leading to the gauge as well, neddle valve is 1/4 tun open. 25 psi at idle and while driving i get the gauge to peg at 30 psi, i stretched the spring in the O/V, going to get a new valve, but when i hammer the throttle the fuel psi drops to about 25 is this normal or do i have air in the system still? Also i get a rattle clicking sound from the fuel psi gauge as well has any one else had this problem?

 

Not sure on the pressures but with the guage buzzing and vibrating, the needle valve should just be cracked.... like less that 1/8 turn open. Try it just barely open (just enough to get a psi reading) and see if it stops buzzing.

Just cracking the needle valve fixed the buzzing sound.

Fuel Pressure: 18-24 psi at idle, 28-36 at 2000 rpm with no load.

 

I have the needle pegged at 30 psi and it drops to 25 psi when it gets a load put on her.
