Big Head = $$$$. Boost elbow from TST, mmm, about $35.. Your choice.. The key is keeping Boost to the 35 psi limit for the stock charger.

Gauges are totally up to the user. Digital, analog, Pillar, dash etc, all play into what you like and what you want to see. I vote for Isspros personally.

Well in its simplest form, its a throttle orifice and bleed to control the pressure in the line to the wastegate. Its a small 1/4 NPT brass elbow to tubing barb that would go either at the AFC or on the turbo itself depending on where the wastegate sensor line feeds from. They are set from TST or other vendors to provide the 23-28 Psi opening pressure to the wastegate at pressures in the intake well above that. This controls the output pressure of the turbo (intake boost pressure) to the setpoint of around 35-37 psi.

I hope that helps...

Ok, I just ordered the tst elbow. any suggestions on how to set the star setting on top? And can this lower my egts, do you think I will notice a power gain? From what Ive learned black smoke=unused fuel which I have plenty of. So therefor the turbo has the fuel to work with if boosted up which may result in less un burnt fuel, a more efficient system and lower egt's. Do i have this right?? Im planning on not adjusting it until i get my gauges.

the Stock turbo can only push so much air, so once u start pushing alot of fuel the stock turbo can't keep up so u get alot of black smoke and high EGT's usually. Ur next big mod should be a bigger turbo suited for the fuel ur pushing and ur HP goals. you should be able to reach 400-450hp fairly easily with the pump u have, and plenty more if money allows, lol.

Ill be happy with 300hp, just gotta be able to smoke the competition when the time comes ya know. Will the turbo be ok with the 215 pump and injectors the way they are with the tst elbow, will it be able to work with that amount of fuel without stress? Im trying to find out what plate is on it, is changing the plate major surgery? And thank you guys for all the help, I appreciate it.

honestly i think u might be at 300hp, if not more with the combo u have.

The fuel plate is really easy, i've got it to where it takes 5 minutes to get it out, and I have to take the intake off because i have this banks one that sits in the way, but the stock intake horn u can leave on. Theres a really good article on how to do it somewhere i'll try to find it

Found out its a # 10 plate from BD and they already put the tst valve on there, they did so much work on the thing the first time I couldnt remember what they did. Now I am nervous because I dont have gauges yet, it wil be the next thing I get for sure!!

I just think it's alittle wierd that they knew so much about upgrading the pump etc, and didn't think u'd need gauges. You could easily peg the egt gauge with the combo u have since u have injectors to. Hopefully u've been somewhat conservative and not been holding WOT for to long at one time, im talking seconds.

Im trying not to for sure, I just got the truck out of the shop getting the "killer dowel pin" done and the intake manifold gasket had a good blowout also. Now that the gasket is fixed my turbo is working properly(not loosing boost pressure) and there is a lot less black smoke which makes me feel a little better. And a crazy power difference, I think it has been bad for a long time and they didnt catch it. But now on top of the egt's im worrying about the boost pressure, Ive been monitoring all I have to monitor which is the engine heat and Ive noticed if I gun it the engine temp will run about 185 which is a little higher than norwal for my truck and I know its gotta be the egt's. But anyway Im excited to put it on the dyno, itll spin the wheels from a dead straight stop without spooling the turbo at all. So Im thinkin over 300 hp but well see. Thanks for the help man.
