12 valve into 2002 dodge!
Hey to y'all!
how easy is it to install a cummins 12 valve auto into a 2002 dodge (with a gas) i can have the complete front end of the 98 dodge 12 valve: motor, tranny, radiatiors, dashport, wires, axles, etc etc for less then $5000. i wanna install it into a 2002 dodge! how much has to be done??? any bigger factors?? or aint it possible? |

Hey Tex, he is in Mexico!! I too would agree with Tex that it would be a easy task, since you have all the parts. Goodluck and let us know how it goes. Rick

2002 gas, 1500 or 2500?
1500 will be the 3rd gen body style, 2500 is the 2nd gen body style, might make a difference. Not to mention the 1500 frame/axles won't like the weight of the Cummins. phox |

As far as the swap, I wouldn't think it would be that bad.... there should be plenty of room for everything as long as you can fab the mounts and be creative shoehorning everything else in there..... |
Frame
I've always heard the frames from the 1500 series trucks wont hold the toqure of the ctd. Might want to weld some braces in to make sure it dosent twist.
