12 or 13 inch clutch
Hello,<br> My father n law has a 96 dodge extended cab 4x4 with a 5 speed and a cummins diesel. It is time for a new clutch. So i called the parts house and they asked me if it was a 12 inch or a 13 inch. To the best of my knowledge I thought the H.O. 24 valves were the only ones with 13 inch clutches? I just wanted to see if anyone here knew for sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated.<br>Thanks Ty

I believe it is 12¼"..... I have one in my truck, and wish I had the $$ at the time for the 13" upgrade for my 6BT/DEE setup... Oh well, right?? This one is holding up so far!!<br><br>-Chris-

zspear1,<br><br>You are right about those clutch sizes. Only the 24 valve HO motor came with the 13 inch clutch. The five speeds came with the 12 1/4" clutches. Hope this helps.
