Finally got around to working on my 97. Ive been pushing the shut off solenoid up for a couple weeks dreading to go buy another solenoid (first one was about 5 years ago) and thought id check here first. Well guess what? I found a thread that someone had dirt on the solenoid shaft and it was sticking, so I take mine apart and shure enough it was all gunked up (still had the factory boot in good shape (this was a cummins relacement not the dodge one) cleaned and lubed and works like a charm. Thought I would take the time to write A Big Thank You to his board for being here.

I too have learned a lot and I know the knowledge will, in turn, save money down the road...as I hope to keep my truck!
