Put a fuel shut off valve into the system right before the carb. Shut the valve, run the carb dry before storage. Onan will always start and run like a kitten in the future.
Seriously, this is the $15 fix-all for that carb.
Totally agreed this is a good idea. As we've most likely discussed in this thread (and other gasoline fuel related threads), todays ethanol fuel is simply horrible stuff. It easily phase separates, leaves hard deposits behind, and builds up this gross yellow garbage that seemingly gets everywhere. So fuel sitting in the carburetor for long periods of time obviously causes hard build ups which clog up small delicate ports/jetting. And it doesn't go away either.....
Thanks EPA and Obamy for The Federal Ethanol Mandate. Another grand idea to save us from ourselves.
